Full Bar
I posted this on the main board and thought I would post it here too. Anyone far out from RNY maybe 5 years or more know anything about the fullbar? I see it on TV and wonder if this is something that would work to control our eating. Susposed to eat one 30 mins. before lunch and dinner. I was thinking maybe half a bar or 1/4 might do the trick. Its supposed to fill you up so you want eat as much but was wondering if it would be safe for our pouch. Anyone know? I want to lose 10 pounds more pounds but it 's just not coming off. Anyone use them?
Judy, first let me just say this...that doctor that created this full bar is just taking your money. Really think this through, there is no magic with getting those last 10 pounds off. It will be hard. You will have to work it. No race, those last 10 will come off slow and painfully slow if you watch the scale.
So instead, eat real food and be satisfied. Exercise and I mean one hour everyday. Also lift weights. Don't use the scale, measure yourself and take pictures.
Really we have to do this for the rest of your life to maintain your weight loss. In the end, it's all you and not the surgery. YOU will be doing all the work now.
So is it going to be dieting for you or are you going to decide to really change your eating habits for good. Yes, this means you can treat yourself once in awhile, just not everyday.
Sigh...I'm working on getting the 10 pound regain off too. I can tell in my clothes the weight if coming off...slowly. So instead of the scale thing, I think about how far I've come. How I've changed my eating habits, how much better I feel. Refocus your thinking, it will all come together. Remember right now you are a success, don't let 10 little pounds distract you or your lifetime goals.

Thanks Carla, I hate protein shakes and most protein bars but I have found a bar that I love it is NuGo (Nutrition To Go) have you ever tried them? They have 11 g protein 170 calories surgers 13g. a little more than I like but I don't dump on them. The Vanilla Yogurt taste like a rice crispy treat. Yummy.
